Hakan has worked as a market professional in financial markets for 30 years. He has vast experience based upon a career over local banking, global hedge funds and international market making. After earning a BS in Electronics Engineering from Middle East Technical University and an MBA from Bilkent University, he began his career at Yapı Kredi Bank in Istanbul in 1992. He worked as a trader, also took over managerial duties over time at the Bank's Treasury Department for 12 years which the last 4 years as Head of Treasury before he left for pursuing his interest in global buy side. Hakan performed as a PM for 7 years at Autonomy Capital Research, a global macro diversified hedge fund company in London where he managed part of the main fund. He moved to Bank of America in 2011 as a Managing Director and acted as co-Head of CEEMEA Local Markets Trading & Head of Turkey Trading in London and Istanbul for 10 years. In 2022, he founded KL Analytics, a company to share his expertise and passion over financial markets.
